Rebel 250 looks like a smaller Harley Davidson
Softail.
It is a cruiser-style lightweight motorcycle commonly used in the
Motorcycle Safety Foundation's certified rider-training courses. Not only does
this bike get 66+ Miles Per Gallon, but the Rebel's bulletproof air-cooled
parallel twin-cylinder 234cc engine, 5-speed tranny and cool retro styling make
it the perfect bike for just about anyone!

HELP!

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED 2010:
Do you like to meet people, have fun AND help out a great cause?
Are you looking for some riding buddies?
The Food Bank Motorcycle Run Committee 2010
is looking for new members NOW!
The planning and promoting for the April 24, 2010 event is in full swing, and your help is desperately
needed to make 2010 BIGGER and BETTER than ever before! Be part of history!
No event planning experience necessary! Reliability and honesty are more
important!
Help is needed passing out flyers at events and to businesses, selling
motorcycle raffle tickets, getting sponsors & raffle prize donations,
attending various events to promote, recruiting vendors, celebrity guests,
bike-show participants, day-of-event help, etc. etc. Whatever you can do.
Contact Bev Lanza at
716-445-4108 or CFCHAH@aol.com.
Hope you can
make it!
Each month, 91,000 hungry Western New Yorkers turn to soup
kitchens, food pantries, and other emergency food providers -- 40% are children!
The Food Bank of WNY
is a nonprofit clearinghouse for food solicited from the private sector. The
Food Bank distributes product to approximately 500 charitable programs that feed
the needy in Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Erie and Niagara Counties. These include
food pantries, soup kitchens, emergency shelters, day care centers, senior
citizen programs, and residential and day programs for the handicapped, youth
and those undergoing drug and alcohol rehabilitation.
For most Western New York bikers, April is the official start of
the warmer Motorcycle Riding Season! Unfortunately, this year an increasing
number of individuals will be standing in line at soup kitchens and food
pantries instead. The Food Bank receives most of its donations during the
Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday season, so an April event like "Choppers
for Charity & Hogs Against Hunger" really helps at a time when
donations are traditionally at a dangerous low point
If you are interested in joining the committee and/or helping out IN ANY WAY please contact
Bev Lanza at 716-445-4108 or CFCHAH@aol.com
.

kitchens, pantries and shelters.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
2009 will be our 9th year, and we always strive to build on
what we did the year before.
The admission price is always very reasonable and that is due to our generous sponsors, who are a true testament to the
spirit of this community. The sponsors allow us to cover all production and
promotion expenses so that 100% of the proceeds go to The Food Bank of WNY, as
well as the food donations.
Please support our Generous Sponsors!
First, we would like to send out a HUGE THANK YOU to all the
generous bikers (and non-bikers) of Western New York who took time out of their
busy weekend schedule to join us for last year's event. Without your support, none of
this would be possible.
We would also like to THANK
OUR VOLUNTEERS who made it all
happen.
Please help us spread the word by printing
and distributing our Basic 2010 Flyer.
Is this still the
"Cyberspokes Food Bank Run?"
We've had EIGHT successful years which raised $21,397 in cash
donations and 11,558 pounds of food, but we have some recent family health issues and employment changes to deal with, so we've decided that we
(Cyberspokes) would take a break from being the actual organizers of the event.
The Food Bank is a charity near and dear to our hearts so
we will continue to help out in any other way we can. We will also continue to promote the event via our web site and events
emailer.
We've decided to "pass the torch" to Bev Lanza and Lori Stachowiak.
They have created a Food Bank Motorcycle Event
Committee to help with the actual hands-on organization of the event.
The 2009 event will be called "Choppers for Charity & Hogs
Against Hunger" (CFC-HAH).
As you may know, organizing an event like this takes alot of time, dedication,
volunteers and hard work so anything you can do to help Bev and her team out
would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!
Gary Dellaneve and The Bar King Spiders have also decided to take a break as
well.
We would like to thank Gary for helping us out for all these years!
