bulletAmerican Legion Riders
-In 1993, at an American Legion post in Michigan, an idea was originated to start a motorcycle association that would operate within the American Legion. Today, that organization is known as the American Legion Riders (ALR) and can be found participating in parades, partaking in motorcycling events, and supporting the American Legion and the communities in which they live, work, and play. Members of the ALR come from the Legion, the Legion Auxiliary, and the Sons of the American Legion. There are 658 ALR chapters across the country and one of those chapters is located here in Erie County. It meets at noon on every second Sunday of the month at American Legion Post #362 in East Aurora. The membership in this ALR chapter consists of members from several American Legion Posts in Erie County. New members from any American Legion Post are always welcome to join!
