Motorcycle Clubs
 | American Legion Riders -In 1993, at an American Legion post in Michigan, an idea was originated to start a motorcycle association that would operate within the American Legion. Today, that organization is known as the American Legion Riders (ALR) and can be found participating in parades, partaking in motorcycling events, and supporting the American Legion and the communities in which they live, work, and play. Members of the ALR come from the Legion, the Legion Auxiliary, and the Sons of the American Legion. There are 658 ALR chapters across the country and one of those chapters is located here in Erie County. It meets at noon on every second Sunday of the month at American Legion Post #362 in East Aurora. The membership in this ALR chapter consists of members from several American Legion Posts in Erie County. New members from any American Legion Post are always welcome to join! | AMVETS Riders Club -The Silver Creek, NY AMVETS Post 6472 has formed a local Chapter of the AMVETS Riders With A Cause Motorcycle club. The Riders Club consists of members from the AMVETS veterans, The Ladies Auxiliary, or Sons of the AMVETS. This Riders Club is a 100% charitable Veterans organization and is governed by the AMVETS National Committee. The AMVETS Riders not only donate all their time to raise monies for various Veterans Organizations but they also contribute to the local charitable groups within the community. This idea to raise money and have fun doing so was well received that the membership keeps growing. | Biker Church -Biker Church' is just what it sounds like - church for bikers. Started in 2004 by Rev. Tony Fischer - 'geared' toward bikers who often are at benefit runs etc on the weekends & unable to attend church. Biker Church meets on Mondays - year 'round at 7pm. During the riding season the 1/2 hour service is followed by a ride to an ice cream spot. Dress is regular riding clothes, members of clubs wear their 'colors'. Independent bikers are the majority. During the non-riding season, we go for pie & coffee following the church service. All people are welcome, all makes of bikes are welcome. The service is non-denominational.
